We believe that Youth Baseball is about the formation of character.  Big Easy Sportsplex offers a wide range of amenities to fit any player, any family, at any skill level.  We believe that players are trying us out, not the other way around.  Travel Baseball has far too long been territorial and mismanaged.  It's time to get back to the right fundamentals that make baseball so great, and even greater for kids.  As last year's success of our teams prove, you don't have to adopt an unethical philosophy to be competitive.

This note is long overdue and I am sorry I did not get it to you sooner.  Unfortunately, I did not get to say "thank you" in person to you and Devin at the end of the season, since I was not in Disney.  I must admit, travel ball with you and Big Easy was a great experience.  You succeeded at making Jeff and I "travel ball parents", which you know we resisted.  We only have positive things to say about Big Easy travel ball to those who ask us about our experience.  I want to share with you our reasons why...

Joey, we thank you for "keeping your word" about supporting the boys who play other sports, allowing and recognizing that family time is still needed and important.  So many people told us, "that's what they all say until you start playing."  We are proud to say THEY WERE WRONG.  Also, we feel you recognize that kids still need to be treated like kids and have down time to do "kid stuff" like birthday parties, etc..  Joey, you have proved all those travel ball nazi coaches and parents wrong...

Travel ball at Big Easy was serious, but not overly intense.  The boys practiced a couple of times a week,  played about every other weekend and you were understanding if there was a conflict.  The philosophy --- you have to eat and breathe the sport to be good, has been proven to be wrong by the Big Easy team.   Thank you for a great travel ball experience.  Looking forward to next year.
