Changing
the face of Instruction by digitally defining excellence
Digitally define your swings through interactive computer analysis.
Identify and visually define what the best players in the game all do. This will make it quicker and easier to achieve meaningful improvements.
Compare your swing alongside some of the most successful hitters in the game - Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriquez, Ichiro, Jason Giambi, Chipper Jones, Gary Sheffeld and many others. Softball players include Olympians Lovieanne Jung, Leah O’Brien-Amico, Stacy Nueveman, Toni Mascareas and many others.
The RightView Pro system, invented by Don Slaught and Mike Candrea, is being used in MLB, by the US softball Olympic team, UCLA, Arizona and most of the top college programs. It is the only instruction system licensed by both MLB and MLBPA.
The Big Easy Baseball Academy is offering RightView Pro swing analysis to both baseball and softball players.
The question is NOT what you do differently from any one player, but what do you do differently from ALL of these great hitter.

Diamond Club Training
Big Easy Sportsplex and Baseball Academy recognizes the importance of Dynamic Training. Whether you’re preparing for an upcoming season, trying to get the rust off, or just searching for more quality repetitions, Diamond Clubs become an awesome training regimen at our most affordable pricing. Attached is the pdf document for all of our Private Baseball Instruction, Functional Fitness Workouts, and Diamond Clubs. It reads like a menu as we offer a variety of Instructors to choose to lead your Diamond Club. Also attached is a pdf that announces the arrival of two New Instructors. Mark Maher (Catching) and Brady Benoit (Pitching) began scheduling Private Sessions and Diamond Clubs January 1st!
What are Diamond Clubs?
Diamond Clubs are groups of 4 or more players that train with an Instructor of their choosing once, twice, or 3 times per week depending on the interests of the players. Defensive Work (Grounders, Drills, Throws, Footwork, etc.), Hitting, Pitching, Catching, Base-Running, Pick Offs, and other baseball skill work is trained. Players should be of similar ability and enjoy the dynamics of group training. There should be friendly competition and a fast-paced regimen expected by each player. Diamond Clubs are planned in Monthly Segments (4 weeks). Once completed, players can re-up for another 4 weeks, substitute or add new players, or begin a different Diamond Club with a new Instructor. The design and choices lie with the players.
Diamond Clubs vs. Private Lessons
Diamond Clubs are not intended to take the place of Private Instruction. Private Lessons tend to be diagnostic, move slowly, and focus on the individual’s learning process. Diamond Clubs are training oriented with instruction woven into the repetitions. Diamond Clubs offer more training, more repetitions, and a faster pace. Private Lessons offer more direct instruction, fewer repetitions, and a slower pace. Both Private Lessons and Diamond Clubs can be appropriate and fit any player. It just comes down to a personal choice, availability, player’s needs, and time of the year.
Cost
As little as $17.50 per hour long session! Diamond Clubs are by far our most affordable Baseball Training Program at Big Easy Sportsplex and Baseball Academy. Cost will vary depending upon the Instructor requested. Big Easy Sportsplex and Academy Members will receive a $60 Discount per Monthly Package.
Diamond Club Instructors
Each Big Easy Sportsplex and Baseball Academy Instructor must pass a Training Program to be eligible for Certification by our Baseball Instructor’s Board. The Board is comprised of local Head High School Coaches, College Coaches, Professional Scouts, and Orthopedic / Physical Therapy Professionals. Once certified in a specific field, a Big Easy Instructor must complete 12 Hour Residency Program shadowing current Instructors. Each Instructor has a Specialty within his/her Certification, but all Big Easy Instructors are certified to train Diamond Clubs.
Creating a Diamond Club / Choosing an Instructor
Review the list of Instructors and their respective Specialties, and then choose your Instructor. Make some calls to friends, teammates, and even coaches to figure out what players fit best together and will optimize a training environment. Then, factor in the cost per session based on the total number of Players sharing in the Diamond Club. Remember, you can design your Diamond Club to be as specific as desired. Mark Maher is our Catching Specialist. Brian Brown, Brandon Rousseve, and Brian LaBruzza are Hitting and Infield Specialists. Brady Benoit is a Pitching Specialist. Mike Vidrine is our 8 Year Old and Younger (Coach Pitch) Specialist. There are no bad choices!
Because local High Schools will begin their Middle School, 8th, 9th, and JV Teams / Tryouts in mid-February, Diamond Clubs are a perfect fit. The Instructors are the best in New Orleans. Parents and Players can trust our solid relationships with the local coaches and our pledge to communicate / coordinate with the local school coaches in order to train each player according to their standards...no conflicting instruction. The Big Easy Sportsplex and Baseball Academy is proud to be the ultimate baseball resource center in southern Louisiana. We offer a unique environment to complement our local players and their schools / teams.
